I create photographs that epitomise the personality and style of the individual within my portraits. By incorporating natural moments and unique elements of each location, I capture more than just the person in front of the camera, but also create an everlasting and unique memory for my client.
My portrait style is to use natural or available light where possible, and try to capture the moment, ambience and tone the client is submersed in.
Many members of my family are artists of various genre, ranging from pencil sketchers to oil painters, so I grew up surrounded with artistic influence. I started off experimenting with the tools that they used, until someone lent me a camera at around the age of 14. Since then, the camera has been my choice of artistic tool. I have always enjoyed shooting portrait style photographs, capturing the essence of a person’s personality on film.
The same principles apply to my landscape or product images. I strive constantly to capture spectacular light and the mood of the landscape, and I use light and background to highlight the greatest qualities of a product which is being promoted for commercial use.
